The Dream House The
ground-breaking ceremony of The Dream House, the first
carbon neutral home to be built on the east coast, was held
on June 19, 2008 at 1310 Calder Road in Mclean, Virginia.
When completed in the spring of 2009, the Dream House will
use eighty percent less energy than a conventional home and
leave a carbon neutral footprint. CharityWorks will arrange
tours of the Dream House with proceeds going to a charity
yet to be determined. CharityWorks is a volunteer-driven
organization created in 1999 to help break the cycle of
poverty in DC by strengthening local education programs and
enabling families to overcome critical health issues.

Sabo, the CharityWorks Dream House Co-Chairs ‘ told
iGoToVideo that they will also arrange a lecture series in
sustainable building practices and hold a forum to share in
techniques such as Geo Thermal Power.
